Celtics announcer Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell disappointed dining enthusiasts everywhere last night when he apologized on air for comments he made during Monday's Celtic victory. Apparently, Feminazis everywhere get all uptight when gentlemen say things like "Get back in the kitchen! Go in there and make me some bacon and eggs, would you?" (This is a direct quote.)
But hold on, he apologized! Don't get all worked up! Last night before the game he cleared everyone's minds and consciences by saying "If I said anything that might have been insensitive or sexist in any way, then I apologize because she worked extremely hard to get where she is now, end of quote." This is my favorite kind of apology because it's the kind where the apologist isn't actually admitting that he thinks what he said was wrong, but if someone might have interpreted it that way, then they are truly sorry for that.
Maxwell's co-announcer further cleared the air of tension by claiming "We are not changing the way we do our jobs because of the tendency of media outlets to present people's comments in a way that serves their story." So to all you liberal media pinkos out there, don't even think about trying to skew something like "get back in the kitchen" to sound like Maxwell said something sexist. Don't believe the hype.
