It's been a tough year for the Silver Bullet, and not just because we lost Bo. The Wings, Tigers, and the Pistons all had the best record in the league during the majority of the regular season, but failed to bring home trophies. Michigan lost the biggest game in the last 20 years in college football. Maybe the biggest game ever. The Lions are only referred to in this blog for comedic reasons. I'm not going to go as far as the lady, who said that the Pistons when they slumped in the Cleveland series, and the Tigers when they slumped in the world series "suck", but it hasn't been easy.
But speaking of Cleveland it could be a lot worse. Cleveland, Ohio, the worst city in America to place the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next to Salt Lake City, Utah, hasn't brought home a trophy in basketball, baseball, or football since the Browns did it in 1964. Ouch. Seattle "Now that Cobain ended his stay here all we have is the fish toss" Washington, have been in a drought since 1979, when the Seattle lady Shawn Kemps "Storm" brought home the bacon.
This is a great sports town. We're damn lucky to be a sports fan here. We're competitive in everything except pro football and Michigan more than makes up for any shortcomings in that department. Besides, no one can claim that their football team has won one (1) playoff game in their lifetime besides Detroiters, and an offensive lineman had to break his back for that to happen. We're awful. C'mon! It's funny! Without the Lions, we wouldn't know how to lose. Then we'd be just as bad as Laker fans.

Ahem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_the_Century_(college_football)
And can Philly get some beaten down sports fan love?
You're right. None of those rivalrys involved the intensity of Georgia Tech vs. Cumberland. I also apologize to NBC and the free world for mentioning college football without including Notre Dame.
Philadelphia threw snow balls at Santa Claus. They get no love from me until after christmas, or they trade AI, whichever comes first.
Is this seriously a UofM fan complaining that ND gets too much attention? 10 - 10 bitch.
See you in the NIT.
